When using our Little Robot Friends app, after unplugging the robot from your computer your robot may become unresponsive. To solve this issue please restart your robot by toggling the power switch off and on. Your robot should resume normal function afterward.
We are working on solutions and will release a software update to address this problem.
Your robot has become completely unresponsive to input (except in some cases holding and releasing both robot hands; this plays a song). Restarting the robot does not seem to fix the problem.
This issue has been fixed in the latest version of our Little Robot Friends App and Firmware. You can find downloads and installation instructions for our app here. For firmware downloads and installation instruction please see our arduino page.
Your robot has become randomly unresponsive to input. Performing a reboot of the robot does not remedy the problem. You may find holding both hand sensors and releasing triggers a song, however that is the only response you can trigger.
This issue has been fixed in the latest version of our Little Robot Friends App and Firmware. You can find downloads and installation instructions for our app here. For firmware downloads and installation instruction please see our arduino page.
This is actually an intentional feature – when left alone for a few minutes, your robot will ‘sleep’ and conserve battery. You can also intentionally put it into sleep mode by laying it on its side.
To wake it up, tickle your robot (tap rapidly 3 or more times on its hair sensor) or shake your robot vigorously: it’ll spring to life and act normally again.
If your robot doesn’t chat back when you talk to it, try blowing at the microphone. The microphone may not be able to hear you from a distance unless you’re really loud, so this is a more reliable way of getting your robot to hear you.
